John Nyberg
is the Controller of H&A - Irvine. I was originally asked to look at a test load
in Vision and make specific recommendations. We found a number of potentially deal stopping problems, but we also created
a plan to resolve each in the go live migration. I was with John and his accounting team when they first received
the data base back after data migration. We new exactly what to expect from our testing in the original review.
A number of changes were made to the original configuration in order to automate and enhance their billing, processing
& reporting. REV GEN was enabled and reconciled. The biggest issue with the H&A conversion had to do with
their billing. While data all came over properly in the migration provided by Deltek, billing terms were simply not
complete.

I reviewed and made a number of adjustments to the Configuration, enabled Rev Gen retroactively
to January. WIP was reconciled to the General Ledger and all reports were created so that both Project Managers and
Chuck are now able to review MTD, YTD or JTD information on all projects and all are up to date in real time everyday.
Income Statements & Balance Sheets were also created to report Current Month & YTD as well as a Rolling 12 months
Income Statement to detect trends.

Craig Williamson & Roger Deitos are the owners
of an Irvine Architectural firm, GAA Architects. I was initially contacted by Craig
& Roger to review their configuration as they had gone live on Deltek Vision about 6 months prior but were constantly being billed by their former Consultant for calls made by their former Controller. What
I found was simply that she continued to use Quick Books for some of aspects of the accounting and Vision for others.
To resolve, I moved all data from Quick Books not already there, into Vision and then trained the “new” Controller
and all personnel on Deltek Vision processing. I also created a custom grid for a Consultant Tracking system that had
been maintained previously in Excel. Not only do they now avoid duplicate entry, the report comes directly from Deltek

Boyle was acquired by AECOM and he is now VP of the West. At Boyle I migrated
45 years of data. The legacy system was installed in 1962 and in 2005 Boyle was still on
punch cards. All 100% of the data was migrated, every project,
client, employee, labor entry, expense entry, invoice and cash receipt. Nothing was left out including 10 years of General Ledger Account Balances for 35 profit centers. This enabled the ability to do all
types of trend analysis both from a Project Reporting as well as for Income Statements & Balance Sheets in Deltek Vision
instead of from multiple systems and/or spreadsheets.
